 ·         The Southern Oregon Amazing Race is a takeoff of the reality television game show.   There will be teams consisting of 2-5 people per team.  Each team will enter by filling out the entry form located at www.shiroundancecompany.com.  The team entry fee is $25 and feeds a family for a month.  Once your entry form and fee are recieved you will get a confirmation email with details. The race time for the teams start at 8:00 am.  Teams will need to arrive between 7:00-7:30 am to the SOU race site located off of Wightman Street in Ashland.  The teams will race around the Rogue Valley in competition with other teams. Contestants strive to arrive first at "pit stops" and finish their task then move on to the next pit stop.  Contestants travel in a variety of transportation modes, including trucks, bicycles, buses, boats, and by foot. The clues provided at each pit stop lead the teams to the next destination or direct them to perform a task, either together or by a single member.  The team that arrives first to the final destination is awarded a grand prize!

·         The Final Destination will be the last pit stop.  This location will have booths, prizes, entertainment, raffles, kiddy corner, face painting, snow cones, food, and a car raffle.  This will be open to the public and fans!  Arrive at 3:00 pm to the race site to cheer on the teams as they come across the finish line.   To find out more about having a booth at the Final Pit Stop please email dance@mind.net.  The Grand Prize will be awarded to the first team to arrive at the Final Pit Stop.

·         The Pit Stops will be located throughout Southern Oregon.  Each Pit Stop will have a task and a clue.  For Example, one team member may have to run to the water, jump in and find the clue.  Or another example is the team may have to build an Ice Cream Tower on a moving object and get it to another team member who will have to eat it.  If you are a business and interested in being a Pit Stop for the amazing race please email dance@mind.net.

·         Sponsor for Teams teams, this is your first task!  The Team that has the most sponsors will win a large prize!  Sponsors are $22 per sponsor and each sponsor will be feeding a child for a month!  Each team can decide whether to participate in this or not.  If you would like to participate you would ask people or businesses to sponsor your team by paying $22 which will go to purchasing a VitaMeal bag and that feeds a malnourished child for a full month!  They will receive a receipt for tax write off purposes.  You may print the Team Sponsor Sheet.  These will be turned in the morning of the RACE!
